Find a teacher. Acquire a friend. And judge others favorably.

I am so excited to begin educating the children of Beth Shalom!
We are continuing to collaborate with the ISJL (Institute for Southern Jewish Life) by using their Judaic and Hebrew curriculums in our classrooms. While the ISJL will be the main course of study, it will not be the only. I believe that all children learn differently and I strive to find ways to teach the curriculum in ways that all students can benefit.
The feeling of kehillah (community) that our children derive from attending religious school is an important part of their Jewish identity. The keys to developing kehillah are to teach and learn kavod (respect) and chesed (kindness). Without kavod and chesed there is no kehillah.
I thank you for your decision to make this journey with us. I look forward to working with each of you in the coming years. Please feel free to email or call me at any time with any questions or concerns you might have. The best way for us to educate your children is for you to help us to help them.
